Reklay adds recent browsing context to Klaviyo profiles. This guide shows you how to connect Reklay, confirm the fields are syncing, and review the shopper-context signals in Klaviyo.
Reklay provides the signal. Your team decides how to use it in Klaviyo.
What Reklay Adds To Klaviyo:
After Reklay is connected, Klaviyo profiles can include shopper-context fields based on recent onsite behavior.
These signals may include the following.
- how recently someone visited your site
- how much they browsed
- how often they came back
- whether they viewed products, carts, or checkout pages
- an intent band such as high, medium, low, or no signal
Reklay intent bands are based on recent browsing behavior. They are not purchase predictions.
Before You Connect:
You will need the following.
- access to your Reklay account
- a Klaviyo account with permission to connect apps
- permission to view Klaviyo profiles and segments
- a live store with recent onsite activity
If you do not have the right Klaviyo permissions, ask the account owner or admin to complete the connection.
Connect Reklay To Klaviyo:
Open Reklay, go to Klaviyo settings, choose the Klaviyo connection option, approve the requested Klaviyo permissions, return to Reklay, and confirm that the connection status is active.
If the connection does not complete, contact support@reklay.co and include your store URL, Klaviyo account name, and a screenshot of the error.
Confirm Reklay Fields On A Profile:
After the integration is active, open a Klaviyo profile and look for Reklay fields or profile properties.
Start with a profile that has recent onsite activity. Profiles with no recent browsing behavior may show little or no Reklay context.
Check the following.
- whether Reklay fields are visible
- whether recent activity is present
- whether the intent band matches the behavior you expected
- whether the last sync timing looks current
Understand Intent Bands:
Reklay helps separate shoppers by recent onsite engagement.
For example.
- A high-intent shopper may have visited recently, browsed multiple pages, or reached cart or checkout.
- A medium-intent shopper may have browsed but shown less depth or fewer recent actions.
- A low-intent shopper may have lighter recent activity.
- A no-signal profile may not have enough recent activity to classify.
These bands are meant to add context. They should be reviewed alongside your existing Klaviyo data, such as customer status, purchase history, and email engagement.
Create A Review Segment:
Before using Reklay context in a live workflow, start with one review segment.
Example segment logic.
- profiles where Reklay intent band is high
- person has not purchased recently
- person is eligible for the message you plan to send
Then review the audience.
- segment size
- sample profiles
- recent activity
- exclusions
- whether the audience matches your goal
This is an example, not a universal recommendation. Always review your own segment logic before using it in Klaviyo.
Ways Teams May Use The Signal:
Teams may use Reklay context to help review the following.
- segments
- campaign audiences
- flow branches
- profile research
- reporting and analysis
Reklay does not require one specific Klaviyo workflow. It adds shopper context so your team can decide how to use the signal.
Data Freshness And Sync Timing:
Recent onsite behavior changes over time. If Reklay fields look stale or missing, first check these items.
- whether the Klaviyo connection is active
- whether the profile has recent onsite activity
- whether the expected field is available on the profile
- whether the account sync is still running
Troubleshooting:
If the Klaviyo connection is not active, reconnect from Reklay settings.
If no Reklay fields are visible, confirm installation, permissions, and account status.
If a profile has no Reklay context, check whether that shopper has recent onsite activity.
If a segment count looks wrong, review your segment conditions, exclusions, and sample profiles.
If a flow condition does not match, test with a known profile before activating changes.
